Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is experiencing a higher level of referrals to our services  as many Veterans struggle to remain active or adapt to a post COVID 19 environment.

We would like to support Veterans with:

Open Water swimming with Newfoundland rescue dogs. This will provide Veterans with a unique opportunity to be supported by dogs whilst in the water, providing therapeutic treatment for our PTSD sufferers.

Models for Heroes Workshop - the benefit of Arts and Crafts workshops has proved to be an excellent response to a Mental Health condition and meeting in a secure and safe place will provide a sense of wellbeing.

We would like to work with a local Gym to provide free training for those Veterans who want to take up or begin to box. 

LPT and Raising Health supports the work of an allotment run by an LPT Veteran volunteer. This will provide a perfect opportunity for members of the military family to enjoy time on the land and provide healthy food for the local community.
