We are raising money to support our mental health and community patients to have the opportunity to engage in art therapy sessions.
There are so many benefits to art therapy including the reduction of stress, anxiety and depression. At the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, we currently run a Arts Cafe in the Involvement Centre for in-patients, out-patients, family and friends to create art. These sessions are run by Tim Sayers, our Arts in Mental Health Co-ordinator at the Leicestershire Partnership Trust, who is also a qualified and registered mental health nurse.
These sessions have already had a profound impact on our patients, however we do need funding to keep these sessions going.
