Let’s come together to make the season truly magical for those who need it most. Those who spend Christmas days at our inpatient units will find themselves away from their homes and loved ones, facing some physical or mental health conditions. For some, the atmosphere our dedicated staff will create may be the only Christmas magic they will experience; and the gift they will receive from us may be the only one they open this year.

By participating in our "Raising a Smile" appeal, you can bring festive joy directly to our wards, filling our units with warmth, light, and smiles. Your involvement will lift spirits and create a heart-warming Christmas experience for 600 patients who need it most.

We are asking people in our local community and businesses across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to help us spread festive cheer to those who need it most.

You can get involved in one of the following ways:

-        Online donations, please follow the link on this page

-        Fundraising: Turn your festive activities into a fundraiser and donate towards the appeal.

-        Gift-in-Kind donations: Some businesses may have products suitable for inpatients. Please contact us before gifting to discuss any necessary practicalities.

-        Sponsor the “Christmas Tree” competition: For businesses looking to make an even greater impact, there’s an opportunity to sponsor a special Christmas Tree competition within LPT’s inpatient units. This friendly contest fosters patient engagement and brings purpose to those facing health challenges.

Together we can turn this Christmas into a story of compassion and goodwill—a festive tale that will be remembered by all. You  can help transform our inpatient units into places of joy and celebration. Your involvement—whether through a small donation or sponsorship—brings the Christmas spirit to those who might otherwise feel its absence. Together, we can create magical moments and cherished memories, making sure that no one feels forgotten this Christmas.
